MONUMENT-Public Art Project is an intervention in a public place, outside the protected perimeter of a gallery or museum; possibly in a city square or in the hall of a station or public building with a lot of pedestrian traffic. It is a pyramidal structure, whose four sides are stadium terraces, with steps and seats. Only a few rows tall. The public will have access to the terraces through staircases that run from the base to the apex, along the four corners.
It is meant to be an open sculpture, implemented by the use of a non pre-selected, but casual public.
It plays with the notions of public and show, by acting as stalls and stage at once.
Its aim is somewhere in the crossing point of hierarchy and architecture
